Committed to Community Growth, Public Welfare, and Sustainable Development
Kombo Itindi Council provides a wide range of administrative, social, and economic development services to support our 32 vibrant villages across the municipality.
The council office serves as the primary administrative hub for local governance and civil documentation in the Ndian Division.
Civil Status Registry: Issuance of birth certificates, marriage certificates, and death certificates.
Local Certification & Documentation: Attestation of documents, administrative clearances, and local council permits.
Community Engagement: Serving as the direct link between local residents and the Ministry of Decentralisation and Local Development (MINDDEVEL).
Under our Communal Development Plan (CDP), we prioritize improving the daily living conditions of all inhabitants through vital social infrastructure:
Water & Sanitation: Expanding access to clean drinkable water through the construction and maintenance of solar-pump boreholes and wells.
Educational Support: Construction and rehabilitation of public school classroom blocks, distribution of didactic materials, and support for local educational initiatives.
Community Lighting: Installation and maintenance of public lighting and sustainable energy solutions across residential areas.
Given our unique coastal geography, our services focus heavily on supporting the maritime economy and local trade:
Economic Hub Development: Organizing and maintaining designated local commercial and market centers (including Barracks-Isu, Greater Ngosso, Greater Gold Coast, Greater New Jerusalem, Water Creek-New Kombo, and Useh Iborefer Obom).
Fisheries & Trade Support: Upgrading local fish preservation facilities and supporting maritime trading routes.
Youth & Women Empowerment: Providing training programs, entrepreneurial support, and micro-project assistance to empower women and youth groups.
Protecting our unique natural environment is central to our municipal mandate:
Mangrove Conservation: Protecting and managing the vast evergreen mangrove ecosystems and local wildlife habitats within the municipality.
Sustainable Forestry: Partnering with local communities to establish and manage community forest reserves.
